A Food Cube from PKL Group at Fairfield High School for Girls, in Manchester, has been a well-received by staff and students alike. The Food Cube reduces queuing times in the main dining area and is proving to be a popular meeting place to enjoy a range of healthy snacks.

Fairfield School’s catering is run by Churchill Catering and the contract caterers are experts in understanding eating trends among young people. The PKL Food Cube, complete with Churchill’s “food to go” concept branding , was introduced to give the students a contemporary eating location that reflects high street trends.

The striking Cube, which is conveniently located in the car park, sells a wide selection of hot and cold food including baguettes, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, pasta dishes, break time snacks, and hot and cold drinks.

Susan Bonnell, Regional Manager for Catering by Churchill explains; “The increased food offer has given more flexibility to students – they can now choose whether to have a hot meal at lunch time or eat on the go to fit in with lunch time activities. From the caterers perspective we have been able to better manage queuing in the main dining room and of course increase revenue as a result of having more service outlets.”
