KitchenPod and Food Cube at ZSL London Zoo

When ZSL London Zoo came to upgrade some of its catering arrangements, head of catering Steve Perkins called on PKL for advice, having worked with the modular and temporary kitchens supplier before. Now with the new facilities, visitors and function guests to the majestic Mappin Pavilion can enjoy a much wider menu prepared in modern, attractive premises.

“Whenever I’ve dealt with PKL in the past, they’ve been excellent,” said Steve. “It was only natural to go back to them again when we needed more facilities. They are outstanding. PKL’s team are extremely helpful and expert at assisting with design and lay-out.”

The new KitchenPod means that we can do hot and cold food offers and we’ve expanded the menu range and so increased business. We can cater for all sorts of events, such as weddings, barbecues, summer parties and conferences.”

Steve also took the opportunity to upgrade the kiosk at the entrance to the Zoo and replace it with a new PKL Food Cube.  Steve explained: “The new Food Cube improves our presentation and enhances the visitor experience – it made sense to deal with PKL on both these upgrades and to do them at the same time.”
